On a side note, I don't believe in user boxes on user pages for wikis. Text is still the best medium to confer information; if someone cannot read through the entirety of a user page, they really were not interested at all to begin with. Not that that stops [[User:Kaishiro|Kaishiro]] from slapping them onto my user page.

==Fail 101==

And now for an educational extract from Prof. CuleX's explanations on how to break a simple module; here we shall take a look at ns_certfp, which conveniently broke on a Friday, Oct 12.

<pre>07:11 <@culex> Here's what happens:

07:11 <@culex> - Reload module sends the event to save the db

07:11 <@culex> - ns_cerfp is like "whoa, gotta save my DB"

07:12 <@culex> - ns_certfp writes its db... but without line breaks which are vital in PARSING IT AGAIN

07:12 <@culex> - ns_certfp loaded, goes "gotta load my db or I'm trash"

07:12 <@culex> - "WAT the fuck is that? Let's ignore that malformed entry"

07:12 <@culex> - DB is now empty.

Quick Info

Xertion User: CuleX, also known as root or xorhash

On a side note, I don't believe in user boxes on user pages for wikis. Text is still the best medium to confer information; if someone cannot read through the entirety of a user page, they really were not interested at all to begin with. Not that that stopped Kaishiro way back in the day from slapping them onto my user page.

I'm also an ex-developer for Xertion services as well as a retired Xertion network owner
